Baggu began in 2007 making nylon grocery bags, and has grown to be a substantial manufacturer for bags, totes, and backpacks; all made with high quality leather, canvas, and nylon.
Baggu’s products are sold wholesale and through online retail store, which both use separate cloud platforms for inventory management and shipping & fulfillment. They had hired another consultant to develop the software to sync data between these disparate systems, but the original solution was ultimately unreliable, and the consultant simply abandoned them even as their code was breaking.
Baggu’s data syncing system was truly unreliable-- they needed immediate help to stabilize their platform before the end-of-year sales season started. They needed a software engineering firm they could rely on to be responsive and deliver quality.
Baggu was referred to Green Mars by another of our clients, and after sharing with us what they were dealing with and hearing our suggested approach, they quickly engaged us to help them out.
Baggu’s integration solution uses Django with REST API’s to synchronize information across three platforms, including Shopify, ApparelMagic, and 3PL.
Once the code was stabilized, Green Mars worked with Baggu to substantially refactor their code in the following months. The new solution provided critical effective monitoring and much better independent management for their system. Baggu can now support the platform themselves, while Green Mars provides as-needed support at their direction.
