eXo Imaging is building the next generation hand-held ultrasound scanner, and providing a subscription-based cloud solution for uploading and managing the complete exam workflow.
Their engineers are building the hardware, and the hardware needs complete integration with standard medical interface protocols, such as DICOM, LDAP, and HL7. The cloud solution must be HIPAA and FDA compliant.
They needed a cloud solution that can handle the complexity of healthcare system environments and appease their restrictive IT departments, while delivering high performance in compliance with the strict security standards the industry commands. The team they hired would also need to be able to work with the hardware team and another outsourced vendor developing their smartphone app (which eXo's hand-held scanner users for uploading imagery).
